Two days each week, students spend their classtime in the computer lab working on an online curriculum from Carnegie Learning called Cognitive Tutor. Students also have access to this program at home. Usually, the only update with your home computers is with Java.
To access these lessons, students should go to our school website www.russellcountyhigh.com go to the drop down menu, links and events and locate Carnegie Learning.
They know the rest.
Just a reminder that students will receive credit for ALL work completed at home on Cognitive Tutor.
There are Help & Hint buttons, as well as Lessons (read the blue boxes) and interactive examples.
Please take a few minutes and watch your student go through some of the problems. Ask them to explain the green / gold bars.
After talking with a few parents, I have realized they did not know about this wonderful opportunity to work at home.
