Parents often ask for resources they can use to help their students at home. Sometimes, just have some extra problems to work and a way of checking student work is hard to find for parent. Let me suggest Cool Math. Once there, you should look on the left side for the appropriate subject for you student. Most of our topics in the DOCK can be found by clicking the purple Algebra flag. There are some great articles, but most of you will want to scroll down to the

**Algebra Help Lesson Topics**

In this grid, you will find units with examples and descriptions of how to solve problems.

Following some of the lessons, you may see **“****Crunch Some****”- **you can generate practice problems, work them out on your own paper, then check your solution.

Monday is a “lab day” so students will continue working on Cognitive Tutor.

Next day back in class (I say this because, who knows with weather in Kentucky!) –

Algebra I will have a test over solving equations. Students have a review with answers…they can use them to practice for their upcoming assessment!

Suggested units to review from Cool Math are

Solving Equations – Focus on lessons 4 & 5,

then **Crunch Some**

Solving Inequalities – Focus on lessons 4 & 5,

** **CP Algebra I – will have an assessment very similar to their “Pumpkin” problems today in class; using vertical motion formula, finding axis of symmetry, vertex (max or min?) and x-intercepts using Quadratic Formula. Don’t forget to complete your 5-Problem HW assignment!

Suggested units to review from Cool Math are

Solving Quadratic Equations – Lesson 5 using Quadratic Formula
